Which doesn't belong and why
Smoke, Mirrors and Someone Else's School
Now that the School District has admitted that they have no copyright on the information and pictures posted on their website, we are again able to take this public information, gathered processesed and presented with public funds and post them on the Valhalla Voice.
Here are six pictures from Valhalla's website. Todays question is:
"Which doesn't belong and why?"
The answer is the cow of course. Not because there is no cow in Valhalla, but because there was a cow in Valhalla. The other pictures, all on the districts website present an image of a well run school system with a track, a pond, children in farmers overalls, a super band and a high school tech lab. The only problem is these are pictures of someone else's school. Wallet photos on the web. False advertising? A little image padding here?
We are sure, the new Dr. Kelly will see to it that these pictures are replaced with ones actually taken in Valhalla. We will soon be posting our pictures of the missing track and other "deferred maintenance issues" and we invite everyone, including the school district to copy them and let potential homebuyers know how well this district has been run for the last six years.
All That Jazz
Nice kids, nice equipment, not Valhalla
Click this picture to see the 2005 Advanced Placement Score the school board and superintendent don't want you to see. Every year we hear about the world class education the next three million dollar tax increase will bring. We need more AP course offerings to make Valhalla competitive, to give our kids the best and to increase our property values.
Well here are the latest abysmal results for which no one is accountable. Course after course where 60, 70 80 and 90+ % of the students fail to score high enough to get credit for the course. This goes on year after year. Who benefits from these repeated failures? Surely not the students. We are creating more jobs for teachers but little else.
Find Valhalla on the map
These young men would be out of place at the school sponsored trip to the Chelsea Art Galleries.
Technically, Not Valhalla
Our tech teacher is now a floating gym teacher.
Keeping Track of Facts
Great track! But where is it? Pennsylvania? Not Valhalla, our track disappeared in the dirtman deals. The Greenburgh School District now admits these deals are illegal. A picture of our track is below.
A curious find?
Science lab, somewhere else. Perhaps the saddest aspect of this picture is we actually have a pond, about the size of a football field about 150 feet behind the Kensico School. The district has fenced it off and allowed the ground around it to become so overgrown that you can't even see it from the parking lot. Does anyone remember when we were told that the pond would be used for Science Projects?
Dairy Day Sideshow
Dairy day at the Kensico School. Which higher standard does this achieve?
